Under the auspices of the Office of Institutional Branding & Strategic Marketing, the Marketing & Communications Department (MarCom) is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of internal and external programs that promote CCC's mission, programs, and special events. MarCom is a CCC-internal creative center offering solutions to all marketing and communication needs, working with offices and departments across the District to tell CCCs story to a wide range of audiences, both internal and external. The departments mission is to preserve and strengthen the reputation and brand of CCC through a variety of communication mediums including print, digital, video, and social.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

Under the direction of the Director of Marketing Automation, the Specialist-Marketing Technology (Remote) supports the digital initiatives of the marketing team from conception through completion. Remotely oversees the daily operations and tasks related to CCC's marketing technology product stack, encompassing CRM, Email, SMS, web, and data tools. 

The Specialist-Marketing Technology (Remote) brings to the role a strong background in MarTech applications and tools, remotely supporting strategic email and SMS marketing campaigns across all seven colleges relating to the student enrollment funnel and ensuring the effective utilization and optimization of digital marketing strategies to achieve CCC's enrollment goals and objectives. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Remotely monitors and maintains the daily operations of marketing technology tools and systems, including but not limited to, Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Account Engagement, Mogli, Datorama, and Linvio.
  • Monitors and maintains Email and SMS communication opt-in and compliance (CAN-SPAM and TCPA) across marketing tools.
  • Coordinates, builds, and executes email marketing campaigns, ensuring timely delivery, audience segmentation, and compliance with brand and communication guidelines.
  • Implements SMS and web-based marketing strategies to engage with prospective students.
  • Collaborates on the development and upkeep of dynamic content within digital marketing tools.
  • Maintains the organization and tagging of content (email templates, graphics, content blocks, etc.) within tools.
  • Utilizes CRM systems to track and manage leads, data, and enrollment information.
  • Analyzes data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and technology tools.
  • Delivers data and reports on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns to internal stakeholders. Helps maintain data connections for dashboards.
  • Remotely troubleshoots and resolves any technical issues related to marketing technology systems.
  • Collaborates remotely with the OIT CRM team to align with technical requirements and to organize CRM projects.
  • Supports implementation of new marketing technology tools, such as CRM systems, email marketing platforms, and analytics software, integrating tools as needed to work cohesively in support of CCCs digital marketing strategies.
  • Remains up to date on industry trends, advancements and best practices in marketing technology to enhance CCC's digital initiatives.
  • Collaborates remotely with cross-functional teams, including OIT, Enrollment Management, and Marcom, to ensure seamless integration of marketing technology.
  • Assists in providing virtual training and support to staff members on how to effectively use marketing technologies and how to leverage these tools for maximum impact.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining documentation and training materials for marketing technology systems and processes for staff members.
  • Performs related duties as assigned to support the Digital Hub.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in marketing, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Four years of experience in managing marketing technology tools, including CRM, email marketing platforms, SMS, and web-based tools
  • Employees working remote are responsible for providing a stable internet environment with a connection speed of at least 300 megabytes per second (Mbps).
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience may be taken into consideration
  • Knowledge of enrollment and lead generation strategies in a higher education setting is a plus
  • Proficiency in marketing automation software and tools
  • Aptitude for writing in digital formats 
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and metrics for campaign optimization
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Ability to work within a culturally diverse environment 
  • Ability to attend occasional in-person meetings required
  • Ability to work remotely and independently. Must be able to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 

 

Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as other factors such as internal equity.
