DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
OLIVE-HARVEY COLLEGE
Olive-Harvey College is seeking a Director of Information Technology to lead the planning, implementation, and management of computer systems and IT operations that support the college's strategic and operational needs. This role ensures alignment with District-wide goals and objectives, while providing managerial support and technical assistance to faculty and staff using automated systems, including both hardware and software. The Director will also oversee assigned professional and clerical staff to ensure efficient and effective IT services across the college.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develops, plans, implements, and manages policies, procedures, and operations for the effective use of the college’s computer network and systems to support administrative, academic, and student services. Establishes and maintains computer security and accessibility, consults with users (both employees and students) to identify issues and necessary enhancements and/or resolutions, while ensuring that systems remain operational.
- Maintains an inventory of all college computer equipment and serves as the primary college contact for purchasing or upgrading equipment. Establishes procedures to ensure all equipment is properly serviced and functional.
- Plans, directs, implements and manages computer systems and operations, and the associated budget, which support the needs of the college while following the goals and objectives to interface District wide.
- Serves as primary contact between the college and the Office of Information Technology to ensure district-wide standards and policies are implemented and enforced.
- Supervises, directs, and reviews the work of assigned professional and clerical staff to ensure that the services provided by the office are completed. Provides staff with plans and decisions to improve working relationships throughout the office and throughout the District. Conducts all personnel activities for positions as assigned by the college.
- Participates in district, office, and/or team meetings to assist in identifying problems, discussing and testing alternatives, and developing solutions that meet the goals of the college and district. Implements recommendations for applications and technical support services. Communicates special needs/concerns of the college/District to office staff as appropriate.
- Maintains expert knowledge of information systems, college users, and District policies, rules, and regulations.
- Develops and conducts on-going user training sessions on automation and associated technologies as needed. Develops special training strategies to support user work processes as needed.
- Assists with special projects related to the college’s or District’s automated needs.
- Adheres to CCC Customer Service Excellence standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and current, relevant certification required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in networking, desktop support, wireless technology/network, or academic application support in an academic setting.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered at the discretion of management.
- Three (3) years of management experience in an IT environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and multiculturalism in one’s work experience.

- Demonstrated ability to create a learning environment that fosters student success.
- Demonstrated ability to develop a technologically integrated environment that fosters innovation within a learning organization.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and current, relevant certification required.
Rate: $104,775 - $107,120 annually
Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as other factors such as internal equity.
