CCC’s Office of Student Experience (OSX) partners with college leadership, district academic affairs leadership, and district institutional excellence/advancement leadership to deliver strong student enrollment and retention, completion, transfer, and employment outcomes across CCC, and to drive equity of access and success for students of all backgrounds.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

Reporting to the Executive Vice Chancellor - Chief Student Experience Officer, the Vice Chancellor (VC) -Student Enrollment Management provides vision and leadership in the areas of recruitment, enrollment management, and financial aid and is responsible for implementing a strategic enrollment management plan to successfully achieve and support the District’s goals for new student recruitment and enrollment growth.

The VC – Student Enrollment Management leads efforts to achieve new student enrollment growth, working closely with college leaders and enrollment teams, and leads the analysis of information and data necessary to formulate and help facilitate recruitment and enrollment initiatives and evaluate outcomes based on data driven decision-making, enrollment forecasting, and industry best practices.

The VC – Student Enrollment Management partners with the VC - Institutional Branding & Strategic Marketing in the development and implementation of an overall marketing strategy to support student recruitment and enrollment efforts.

The VC – Student Enrollment Management brings to the table a deep understanding of the current higher education landscape, with knowledge of the recruitment and enrollment opportunities and challenges faced by CCC, as well as the range of educational paths offered to CCC students through credit, non-credit, certificate, and adult education programs. Performs related duties as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

· Works in close collaboration with senior leadership to support college-level implementation of strategic enrollment management (SEM) plans individualized for each college’s specific credit, non-credit, and adult education programs and designed to successfully identify, recruit, enroll, retain and support a diverse student body.

· Provides direction and oversight of functions and services related to strategic recruitment and enrollment growth including the Call Center, Admissions, Recruitment, Enrollment Partnerships, Athletics, and Financial Aid and Scholarships.

· Builds enrollment management capacity to enable colleges to develop and execute strategic enrollment management plans.

· Accountable for the implementation of a comprehensive enrollment management plan that is fully integrated at the colleges.

· Leads District’s enrollment team, accountable for providing leadership and support to colleges' enrollment teams overseeing recruitment and admissions, and providing collaboration around new student onboarding processes.

· Directs District’s financial aid team, responsible for providing leadership and support to colleges’ financial aid teams to ensure effective communications and the efficient disbursement of financial aid and scholarship funds to students.

· Oversees Call Center operations, which includes both outgoing enrollment call campaigns and incoming calls.

· Oversees colleges’ Athletics programs as part of CCC’s strategic plans to grow student enrollment.

· Oversees strategic enrollment growth plans for initiatives such as Fresh Start and Future Ready, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to fuel enrollment growth and support new student on-boarding.

· Analyzes patterns and trends, prioritizes opportunities for improvement, and implements enhancements to processes and systems to improve student enrollment experiences.

· Plans for and implements strategies for use of technologies to communicate and build relationships with students, families, and schools.

· Oversees evaluation of enrollment programs, services, and processes.

· Cultivates and oversees strategic partnerships with community-based organizations, school systems, and additional partners to drive CCC new student enrollment growth and strengthen CCC brand.

· Collaborates with High School Strategy team in support of early college and new student enrollment goal achievement.

· Collaborates with Institutional Advancement to leverage scholarship awards for recruitment and retention of students.

· Collaborates with marketing and communications on strategies to engage prospects, convert prospects to enrollments, and retain students.

· Collaborates with Decision Support to develop and implement data-informed enrollment strategies.

· Collaborates with Academic Affairs and Student Experience to advance student retention and completion as well as post-completion outcomes.

· Develops and deploys professional development strategies to enhance organizational knowledge of enrollment management and ensure superior customer service.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

· A Master’s degree (Doctorate preferred) from an accredited college or university.

· Ten years of progressively responsible leadership experience, including team supervision, in the higher education sector.

· Demonstrated senior leadership experience in developing and implementing innovative recruitment and enrollment strategies and implementing and improving enrollment and marketing/communication plans.

· Demonstrated experience collaborating and leading to drive results in a large and complex organizational environment.

· Considerable experience in data-driven recruitment and enrollment operations that result in sustained growth in enrollment.

· Experience collaborating across enrollment and student services teams to ensure a seamless and supportive student experience from enrollment through post-CCC success.

· Ability to formulate vision and strategy for the future of the organization, while weighing diverse inputs, identifying innovative opportunities, and courageously pursuing change in service of impact.

· Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

· Strong organizational and management skills.

· Strong analytical skills, including the ability to digest and apply relevant data, and leverage analytics and technological tools.

· Ability to work cooperatively and strategically in a team environment with all levels of professional, technical, and administrative staff.

· Demonstrated ability to build relationships with internal and external constituents to foster change and process improvement.

· Demonstrated commitment to diversity and multiculturalism in one’s work experience.

· Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
