TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION SPECIALIST - PART TIME

MALCOLM X COLLEGE 

 

Malcolm X College is currently seeking a part-time Technology Integration Specialist - Part Time.  This position is responsible for technology integration to ensure that from a strategic perspective all functions of technology effectively support teaching, learning and operations. Serves as technology training expert for the college.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES 

  • Prepares and hosts training on CCC instructional and operational technology for students, faculty and staff. Prepares training materials for distribution and coordinates all activities surrounding the professional technological development of administrative staff members and faculty. 
  • Creates learning resources for students, faculty and staff printed training materials that include, but are not limited to, websites, tutorials, interactive programs and databases that support the integration of technology. 
  • Plans and delivers instructional activities for students that are consistent with student needs and district instructional goals.
  • Improves information technology across colleges and seeks opportunities for shared services. Collaborates with faculty and staff to support usage of technology. Strives to integrate the use of hardware, software and Internet resources to support student learning.
  • Manages emerging technology and technology standards. Maintains skills in computer software, including, but not limited to, word processing; database, spreadsheet, and web page development; presentation software/technology; digital video and audio editing; and image processing. 
  • Provides technical support as assigned.
  • Creates, manages and resolves help desk incidents as assigned.
  • Researches, recommends and, in some cases, requisitions hardware, software and related resources. Performs asset inventory on software technology.
  • Performs other related duties as needed, including, but not limited to, adherence to after hours, emergency, holiday, and/or on-call schedule.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field supplemented by four to six years of experience in the area of integration technology. Evidence of success in a complex college environment is desired.
  • Skilled in instructional and operational technology, including design and delivery of related training. 
  • Ability to appropriately communicate across all levels of organization, and collaborate with faculty, staff administrators, and students.
  • Ability to organize, digest and explain complex information; and manage complicated projects.
  • Ability to make continuous information technology improvements across the district to achieve greater efficiencies through process redesign.
  • Requires an in-depth working knowledge of computer software, utilities, and operating systems, including course management tools, ERP, web applications, and E-mail.
  • Strong leadership, organization, planning, communication and presentation.
  • Great team player and self-starter.
