Primary Objective:
Daley College's Continuing Education Department has a new opportunity for a dynamic and creative instructor to train K-12 teachers through partnerships with various school districts in the Chicagoland area. The selected individual will develop and implement appropriate and engaging presentations by taking into consideration the learning needs of students and the best practices of elementary and high school teachers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide ongoing virtual and on-site presentations of instructional resources and best practices to K-12 teachers and education support professionals for student-focused outcomes.
· Lead communities of educator cohorts around identified areas of need, including but not limited to classroom management, lesson planning, time-management, student engagement and other topics and best practices.
· Collaborate with Daley College’s Continuing Education staff in the development of quality training programs for K-12 teachers aligned with the professional development standards of the Illinois State Board of Education and the U.S. Department of Education.
· Create digital tools for presentation as needed for training programs and research online information and resources to support K-12 teaching and learning.
· Assist with the development of evaluations and surveys for participants to assess the quality of training programs and understand future needs.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required. Masters of Education for Curriculum and Instruction is highly desirable and preferred. At least three years of instruction appropriate discipline is required.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with diverse groups of participants, administrators and staff.
