PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Reporting to the Deputy Chief Talent Officer, the Human Resources Project Coordinator provides coordination and operational support for HR projects and initiatives across all District Office HR departments and initiatives.
The Human Resources Project Coordinator assists with implementation of process improvements, system updates, reporting, and cross-functional HR initiatives. This role is responsible for organizing project activities, tracking timelines and deliverables, compiling data and documentation, and supporting communication efforts to ensure projects are completed efficiently and in alignment with departmental goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
· Coordinates assigned HR projects across District Office HR functional areas including Talent Acquisition, Compensation, HRIS, Payroll, Benefits, and Employee Relations.
· Assists with implementation and tracking of process improvements and system updates (HRIS, recruitment systems, payroll, performance management).
· Maintains project plans, timelines, status trackers, and related documentation to ensure milestones and deliverables are met.
· Compiles, validates, and organizes data in support of HR dashboards, metrics reporting, audits, and leadership presentations.
· Prepares reports, summaries, meeting materials, and general correspondence related to HR initiatives.
· Schedules and coordinates project meetings; prepares agendas and documents meeting notes and action items.
· Monitors progress of assigned initiatives and follows up with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of tasks.
· Supports testing, documentation, and rollout activities associated with HR system enhancements or upgrades.
· Assists in researching HR best practices and benchmarking data to support process improvement recommendations.
· Maintains accurate and organized electronic files related to HR projects and compliance documentation.
· Ensures confidentiality of sensitive employee and organizational information.
· Participates in professional development opportunities to broaden knowledge of HR operations and project coordination.
· Performs related duties and participates in special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
· A minimum of one year of experience in human resources, project coordination, administrative coordination, or related operational role.
· An equivalent combination of education and experience may be taken into consideration at the discretion of management
· Familiarity with HR systems (e.g., HRIS, talent management systems, payroll systems) desirable.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
· Ability to compile, analyze, and present data in a clear and organized manner.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
· Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across multiple departments.
· Demonstrated customer service orientation and attention to detail.
· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)

Offered salary will be determined by the respective collective bargaining agreement and applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
