Education, Training and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Criminal Justice, Public Administration or a related field
- Three to five years of experience in law enforcement or corporate loss prevention security, or in a military environment with security experience
- Management experience in public, private or military security operations highly desirable
- Professional discipline credentials, CPP, PSP, CFE, highly desirable
- A combination of education and experience may be taken into consideration based on the applicant’s credentials
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

- Knowledge and understanding of the Clery Act and related federal and state laws, and local ordinances.
- Knowledge of best practices in safety and security operations and procedures
- Knowledge of performance measures used in assessing safety and security operations
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work within a culturally diverse environment

Working Conditions
- General office environment
- Travel to various colleges across the District

- Standard office equipment including personal computers and peripheral equipment

- Ability to operate computers and related equipment and software
- Ability to access multi-level facilities
