CONTINUING EDUCATION - TECH INSTRUCTOR (PART-TIME)

The Continuing Education team at Kennedy-King College is community-focused, innovative, and committed to offering accessible wellness and enrichment opportunities beyond traditional academic courses. 
Kennedy-King College is seeking a part-time Tech Instructor that will facilitate courses (online or in-person) for learners enrolled in the course. They will either arrive onsite or online prepared with course material, ensure participant support, take attendance, manage online portals or environment (if online) and foster an inclusive and welcoming learning environment. This role supports student success by promoting the acquisition or technology skills and knowledge that are applicable to learners seeking to acquire a degree, a work-based learning opportunities, employment, and/or ensure they have up-to-date skills in an increasingly technologically enhanced world.

The ideal candidate will:

• Engage students by sharing their own knowledge, experience and expertise.
• Interact with community members and adult learners.
• Help participants acquire technical skills.
• Be part of a growing Continuing Education technical program.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or higher.
• Strong group facilitation and motivational skills.
• Knowledge and/or experience in technology.
• Ability to work with diverse age groups.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Familiarity with platforms, products, and technology applicable to the subject they would be teaching.
• Familiarity with basic email communication.
• Possess technical skills and knowledge and the ability to teach others.
• Comfortable with class facilitation, class structure and time management.
• Comfortable with having participant engagement and motivation.

• Familiarity with attendance tracking (digital rosters).
   

  Salary Range: $35-$65 per hour
