CONTINUING EDUCATION – PERDEV 4200 LECTURER - PART TIME

MALCOLM X COLLEGE

Malcolm X College is seeking a Part-Time Lecturer to facilitate PERDEV 4200: The Blueprint: Leadership, Wealth, and Community, a mentorship series for young men of color for the Community and Continuing Education department. The lecturer will facilitate interactive learning focused on leadership, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, investing, credit, wealth-building, professional development, and community engagement. The role will also support participants in developing personal and career goals while connecting them with mentors and professionals across diverse industries.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Adapt teaching methods as needed.
• Process students’ records per Malcolm X College guidelines.
• Plan and conduct activities that provide students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.
• Monitor students' performance to make suggestions for improvement and ensure that they satisfy course standards, training requirements, and objectives.
• Be prepared to teach this course in-person.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Previous experience in teaching leadership, financial literacy, investing, credit building etc.

   

• Ability to create comfortable environment
• Experience working with diverse population
• Ability to operate technical equipment and computer software.

WORK LOCATION AND SCHEDULE

This position is based at Malcolm X College. Courses may be offered on campus and may include daytime, evening, or weekend assignments depending on program needs. 

SALARY RANGE: $50-80/hr

Compensation is determined by the approved instructional rate for each course section assigned.
