CONTINUING EDUCATION – HLTH 5000 LECTURER - PART TIME

MALCOLM X COLLEGE

Malcolm X College is seeking a Part-Time Lecturer to teach CE HLTH 5000: Provider Enrollment & Credentialing Specialist Certification for our Community and Continuing Education department. The lecturer will provide industry-focused instruction on provider enrollment, credentialing, compliance, primary source verification, CAQH applications, CMS enrollment, credentialing files, and audit readiness. The course prepares students for entry-to-intermediate level roles in healthcare organizations, managed care, and credentialing verification settings. 

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Adapt teaching methods as needed.
• Process students’ records per Malcolm X College guidelines.
• Plan and conduct activities that provide students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.
• Monitor students' performance to make suggestions for improvement and ensure that they satisfy course standards, training requirements, and objectives.
• Be prepared to teach this course in-person.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Candidates must hold a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) credential through NAMSS and have relevant professional experience in provider credentialing and enrollment.

   

• Ability to create comfortable environment
• Experience working with diverse population
• Ability to operate technical equipment and computer software.

WORK LOCATION AND SCHEDULE

This position is based at Malcolm X College. Courses may be offered on campus and may include daytime, evening, or weekend assignments depending on program needs. 

SALARY RANGE: $50-80/hr

Compensation is determined by the approved instructional rate for each course section assigned.
