Continuing Education Instructor - Zumba

CONTINUING EDUCATION - ZUMBA INSTRUCTOR (PART-TIME)

The Continuing Education team at Kennedy-King College is community-focused, innovative, and committed to offering accessible wellness and enrichment opportunities beyond traditional academic courses. Kennedy-King College is seeking a part-time Zumba Instructor that will lead high-energy, engaging fitness classes for adult learners, arrive prepared with music and choreography, ensure participant safety, take attendance, and foster an inclusive and welcoming learning environment.

This role supports student success by promoting physical wellness, stress reduction, community building, and overall well-being, which positively impacts student engagement and retention. This will be accomplished by:

• Leading fun, high-energy Zumba classes
   
• Engaging with community members and adult learners
   
• Helping participants reach fitness and wellness goals
   
• Being part of a growing Continuing Education wellness Program

The ideal candidate will be familiar with:

• Class facilitation and time management
   
• Participant engagement and motivation
   
• Safety awareness and class structure
   
• Playing music via Bluetooth/sound systems
   
• Basic email communication
   
• Attendance tracking (paper or digital rosters)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or higher
   
• Certified Zumba Instructor (ZIN preferred)
   
• Strong group facilitation and motivational skills
   
• Knowledge of fitness safety and injury prevention
   
• Ability to work with diverse age groups and fitness levels
   
• Strong communication and time-management skills

Salary Range: $40 per hour
