CONTINUING EDUCATION – EWC PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FACILITATOR (PART TIME)

Consider joining Truman College's Continuing Education Department as a Part-Time EWC Professional Development Facilitator. We are looking for dedicated and personable professionals to lead and curate topics aligned with the mission and vision of Truman’s Education Workforce Center and continuing education requests from our members. As a one-stop resource hub for education professionals who are seeking to fortify their pedagogy and instructional repertoire through professional development, the EWC is also committed to providing its members experiences rooted in some of the other important tenets of education professionals such as job readiness skills, personal development, leadership skills, tutoring services, academic support, and mentorship. Most importantly, EWC is devoted to fostering a sense of community and a supportive professional network. Therefore, we are seeking qualified individuals who are knowledgeable in their fields, skilled in facilitating engaging learning experiences, and willing to serve as champions for the EWC within their personal and professional networks. Desired candidates will also possess the minimum following skills and abilities:
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Facilitate professional development sessions and training sessions that are engaging and interactive
· Construct quality content for professional development sessions and/or training sessions that align with the EWC mission and vision as well as Truman College’s Center of Excellence
· Possess clear and professional communication skills
· Adept at managing various forms of meeting technology
· Ability to collaborate with others and to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds
· Facilitate professional development sessions in-person, onsite, and remotely as needed
· Ability to teach using different methods to meet various needs and abilities.
· Inspire, motivate and foster confidence in all attendees.
· Adhere to the City Colleges of Chicago code of ethics, board rules, policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's degree preferred
· Three years teaching, technical assistance, and/or instructional coaching experience in Early Childhood (Prenatal/Birth through PK) especially working with adult learners.
· Degree or certification in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or Secondary Education.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with diverse group of students and staff.
· Inspire, motivate and foster confidence in all students.
Salary: $900 per Professional Development series
